The CCM XTRA SE Skates are engineered for high-performance players who
demand elite-level features in a lightweight, responsive package—without the
premium price tag. Designed with advanced structural materials, integrated
comfort technologies, and enhanced edge control, the XTRA SE delivers
professional-caliber performance and long-term durability.
At the core of the skate is CCM’s 3D-Lasted Metaframe Shell, reinforced with a
Skin overlay for a contoured anatomical fit and pro-level aesthetic. The EPP
foam core provides an ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio, offering improved energy
transfer and acceleration from the very first stride.
To address foot protection and pressure management, injected Lacebite
protection is built directly into the tongue, minimizing discomfort in high-pressure
zones while maintaining structural integrity.
The skate is equipped with XS1 Black steel runners—featuring increased blade
height for tighter turns and extended sharpening life. These runners are mounted
on the XS Speedblade Holder, utilizing a secure metal dial and pin locking system
to eliminate unwanted movement and enhance on-ice stability.
A flexible tendon guard optimizes stride extension, providing explosive
responsiveness during transitions and push-offs. Finally, the use of brass eyelets
at high-stress points—top and bottom—reinforces long-term durability where
most skates typically fail.
