Bauer Vapor 3X Intermediate Shoulder Pad

Bauer’s next upgrade to the Vapor protective family at the competitive and recreational levels is in the form of the new 3X protective series. The 3X shoulder pads are designed with reliable foams and inserts seen previously in Bauer gear, as well as a new Flexaprene vest and a Thermomax sub liner to give you amazing protection at whatever level of the game you play at.

Shoulder Caps & Protection

The shoulder caps are low profile and molded to lower wind resistance and make it easier to keep your speed and glide on the ice.

Sternum Protection

The 3X shoulder pad uses an integrated molded sternum to give you a closer, more low-profile fit. This style keeps the pads lightweight and more aerodynamic, making it much more efficient when skating. Over the front panel as well is a soft and comfortable Flexaprene vest, which uses Flexcell foam on the base. Flexcell offers a great balance between adaptability and comfort.

Spine Protection

The spine area is covered by a floating molded spine, which offers a close, protective fit without restricting freedom of movement.

Bicep Protection

The Vapor line is all about speed and maneuverability. As such, the bicep on the 3X is adjustable and made with molded PE inserts for a closer and more lightweight fit. PE shields are a traditionally reliable option for optimal lightweight protection, which is a main reason why they were used here in Bauer’s competitive-level shoulder pad.

Liner

The liner for the 3X is Bauer’s Thermomax sub liner. Thermomax is amazing at repelling sweat and odour, keeping your pads fresher for longer. The liner will also keep you cool and comfortable while you are in your equipment.

Abdominal Protection Piece

The Vapor 3X shoulder pads are equipped with a removable abdominal protection piece for added protection in that sensitive area.
